In general, Performance
Management helps to achieve better results from institutions, teams and
individuals by measuring and managing performance within agreed frameworks of
objectives and competence requirements. It achieves this through assessing and
improving performance while identifying and satisfying learning and development
needs. In this respect, performance management can be defined as a strategic
and integrated approach to delivering sustained success to organizations by
improving the performance of the people who work in them, and by developing the
capabilities and competencies of teams and individual contributors (Armstrong
and Baron).
Performance Management, as
an automated software, can help in monitoring performance, generating forms,
analyzing data, and reporting results. These results consist of performance
reviews, showing the distribution of people with different degrees of potential
talent across different levels of performance. In addition, it can highlight
individuals with a particular set of skills or underlying talent. This system
can be linked to others systems to provide an integrated basis for creating and
implementing overall performance management, as well as human resource
management policies and development projects management.
During recent years, many
organizations achieved excellence in performance, but only a handful had the
capacity to go the extra mile: Aiming for a higher level of excellence. In
order to sustain the level of excellence required, these organizations must
possess the necessary capabilities for handling data, information, and
knowledge analytics, in order to identify practical solutions, and to strategize
the future.

needs, and in collaboration with a wonderful team of software developers, we were
